Bill Burr seems immune to Trump Derangement Syndrome.
The stand-up avoids overtly political narratives, focusing on life’s little hypocrisies.
Or big ones.
He’s not like Colbert, Kimmel, or Oliver, and he didn’t closely follow Donald Trump’s actions throughout his time on “The Apprentice” for more than eight years.
He’s also not afraid to poke the woke bear. He did just that via Netflix’s “Paper Tiger” special.
More recently, Burr seems to be leaning more towards liberal views. For instance, he has rejected the idea that California Democrats are partially responsible for the destruction caused by wildfires.
The facts scream otherwise.
Burr cheered on Luigi Mangione, the man accused of killing a health care CEO in cold blood.
Now, Burr is channeling his rage against X owner Elon Musk.
The comic implies that Elon Musk’s uncomfortable body language during the President Donald Trump inauguration event symbolized a hidden allegiance to Adolf Hitler.
The attitude displayed is akin to an overly biased viewpoint, which seems to be the domain of the more radical thinkers, such as those on “The View” talk show. Burr maintains that there’s simply no alternative perspective to consider.
Ignore the repeated mannerisms among Democratic leaders that may seem alike, or the absence of actions reminiscent of Nazism from the wealthiest person globally. Instead, focus on their individual actions and deeds.
It’s beneath a comic of Burr’s stature to embrace that line of thinking.
Or is it?

Burr just doubled down on the Musk/Nazi comparison on hard-Left NPR.
I find Elon Musk quite frustrating… It’s hard for me to accept his actions at the presidential inauguration as unintentional when he twice gave the Nazi salute. This kind of behavior is exactly why I have a hard time with liberals, as it seems they lack the ability to take strong stands against inappropriate actions.
He hates liberals because too many won’t jump to his insane conclusion.
They exclaim, “Wow, I can’t believe it! I’m leaving the country!” It seems surprising that you would depart due to a single individual known for his dyed hair, plastic surgery enhancements, a questionable automobile brand, and an outdated social media site.
“You’re going to leave? Why doesn’t he leave? Why isn’t he stopped?”
Translated: What’s the method behind your stopping? In a manner reminiscent of Luigi Mangione? What, apart from developing electric vehicles through Tesla Inc., does Elon Musk stand accused of?
Has Burr read the headlines about terrorist-style attacks on Tesla dealerships? Did he miss the images of people hoping to take out Musk … permanently?

Politics aside, doesn’t Burr realize how influential Musk has been in the fight for free speech?
As a film enthusiast, I can’t help but wonder if Burr feels a fondness for Twitter 1.0, a time when conservative viewpoints were suppressed and the platform seemingly served as an extension of government censorship. Is this the kind of environment a comedian who thrives on freedom of expression longs for?
Really?
Or is he making a concerted push to the Left to snag a talk show or other progressive gig?
There’s just one clear explanation available. Burr seems to be buying into the Legacy Media’s portrayal of Musk. Regrettably, he has become the most noticeable representative of the public’s overreaction towards Musk.
And he won’t be the last.
