In June 2024, Spotify declared that the Grammy-winning artist has become the most-streamed monthly musician on their audio streaming platform, a position previously held by The Weeknd (whose real name is Abel Tesfaye).
Later, Eilish expressed her thrill and affection for her fans via Instagram. “I’ve become number 1 on Spotify worldwide, and I still can hardly believe it! You all mean the world to me, and this is absolutely insane,” she posted.

Singer of “What Was I Made For?”, he also turned out to be the third, and youngest yet, to hit 100 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Preceding him were Taylor Swift and The Weeknd, who previously achieved this milestone.
Recently, the artist behind “Blinding Lights” publicly endorsed Billie Eilish, who was just a million streams away from breaking his record as the most listened-to artist on Spotify. On his old platform (Twitter), he reposted a message from an Eilish fan account saying, “Billie Eilish is now only 1 million listeners away from claiming the title of Spotify’s top artist with the most monthly listeners.”
The Weeknd added in his post, “Let’s go!”
In April, the musician behind “Birds Of A Feather” dropped her third studio album titled “Hit Me Hard and Soft“. This album, comprising ten songs, entered the Billboard 200 chart at position number 2 upon its release.
