According to an article in Punch, Nigerian officials have located Nadeem Arjarwalla, a Binance executive who had previously escaped the country following his arrest on accusations of money laundering. Now, Nigerian authorities, Interpol, and the Kenyan police are collaborating to bring Arjarwalla back to Nigeria for a trial.
Reports state that Arjarwalla broke free from detention in Nigeria on March 22 and subsequently boarded a plane from Abuja. His whereabouts, however, have been discovered in Kenya, where he is currently hiding. Nigerian authorities have revealed they are working with global organizations to apprehend the elusive businessman and return him to Nigeria.
Arjarwalla, who is the representative of Binance, faces accusations that the cryptocurrency exchange they lead manipulated Nigeria’s naira currency. This allegation resulted in both Arjarwalla and another Binance executive being taken into custody. However, only Arjarwalla was able to escape from the country afterwards.
