Bitcoin Hits $95K as Japan Unveils Another Mysterious Satoshi Statue—Because Why Not?

So, now there’s a third Satoshi Nakamoto statue in Tokyo. Because if there’s one thing Bitcoin fans love, it’s a hooded figure silently typing on a laptop made out of metal bars. Hey, nothing says “decentralized mystery” quite like public art that looks like it belongs in a sci-fi dystopia. This one’s right by a Bitcoin-themed mural, probably so people can take selfies and pretend they understand crypto.

Tokyo gets the statue, because apparently Japan claims Satoshi by default. The guy’s supposedly Japanese, the early Bitcoin days trace back there, and here we are—another statue. I’m just waiting for a statue of Satoshi in someone’s basement, which is probably more accurate.

For context, El Salvador has one, Lugano in Switzerland has one, and now Tokyo joins the party. Lugano’s even using Bitcoin for actual municipal stuff, which is impressive, but these statues? Purely symbolic. Or as they say: “Minimalist hooded guy 1, 2, and 3.”

Thousands of kilometers apart, these statues share the same vibe: “Hey, look, mysterious tech guy, here’s your tribute, just in case you want to invest emotionally as well as financially.”

All this ceremony is happening just as Bitcoin’s price creeps up toward $95,000. Satoshi’s holdings? A casual $103.57 billion. No big deal. That’s based on some mining pattern named after him, because of course it is.

Even the CEO of Tether chimed in with a retweet—because if you’re in crypto, you gotta get some social media cred while the price is hot, right?
