As a seasoned CoD player with over two decades under my belt and countless hours spent in virtual battlefields, I must say, the leaked gameplay of Black Ops 6 has left me feeling a bit like a soldier caught in the crossfire – bewildered, frustrated, but still hopeful.
Looking forward to 2024, it’s expected that the popular Call of Duty series will make a strong return. Following the less-than-favorable reception of Modern Warfare 3, which marked the lowest-rated game in the franchise, there’s optimism as Treyarch takes charge again.
In a typical fashion, Treyarch, famously known as the “grandfather” of Zombies, unveiled the highly acclaimed Black Ops Cold War in 2020, often hailed as the best game in the series’ contemporary era. Although we eagerly anticipate the Call of Duty NEXT event scheduled for August 28, it appears some significant revelations about Black Ops 6 have found their way into the public eye prematurely.
Black Ops 6 gameplay leaks are everywhere

Call of Duty (CoD) developers are struggling with yet another challenge, even as Treyarch continues its popular marketing tactics. A development build for Black Ops 6 has been leaked and is spreading rapidly online. The Black Ops 6 subreddit is flooded with these leaks, and although Activision is trying to remove them with Microsoft’s help, they seem to be increasing at an alarming rate, similar to a swarm of relentless zombies.
X account @ModernWarzone showed off a minute-long clip from a multiplayer map called Derelict. Although that source has been taken down, several others are doing the rounds. Notably, players called out the ‘sluggish’ speed and subpar graphics, although there’s a major reason behind it.
As a frustrated gamer, I’d put it like this: “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Cold War seem to have had an… unconventional offspring judging by its looks. It’s hard to believe this is the end result of their union. Frankly, it appears more like a pile of digital trash than a game. Even Call of Duty: Vanguard looked better in my opinion.” But I guess I’ll hold off on buying it until it goes on sale for $40 – who knows, it might turn out to be hilarious! 😂
According to CharlieIntel’s observations, the game build appears to originate from a PlayStation 4, signifying the last-generation version of Black Ops 6. Given recent reports suggesting that Activision might alienate players yet to upgrade to next-gen consoles, it seems there could be discernible differences between the current and upcoming generations of this game.
If you know where to find them, you can have a detailed inspection of Black Oops 6’s weapons, interface, and multiplayer maps before the official release at the end of this month. Since we have ample time until then, we can thoroughly examine every detail from these leaked materials.
