Black Ops 6 Zombies set to continue one hated trend

Black Ops 6 Zombies set to continue one hated trend

As a diehard fan who has spent countless hours battling the undead since the early days of Nacht der Untoten, I must confess my disappointment with the rumored change in Black Ops 6 Zombies. The idea of starting each round with a pre-selected loadout instead of the traditional pistol feels like a step away from the original experience that made Call of Duty: Zombies so iconic.

Since the undead emerged from the earth at Nacht der Untoten, players have been battling them off using an M1911 or any other preferred pistol. Initially, Black Ops 6 appeared to be honoring this, by reintroducing the Mustang and Sally, originally seen in Black Ops 1, as a blueprint.

As a gamer, it’s no secret that the legendary zombie-slaying pistol I’ve come to rely on (second only to the Ray Gun) is my go-to weapon. However, recent leaks suggest that this trusty sidekick might be phased out in favor of loadouts. It’s a tough pill to swallow.

Black ops 6 Zombies to feature weapon loadouts

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve noticed a shift that began with Black Ops Cold War – instead of starting with the traditional sidearm, players now have the option to choose their preferred loadout weapons right from the get-go. This change was strategically implemented to increase the opportunities for players to earn camouflage patterns with various guns by simply playing.

In the leaked information about Black Ops 6, it’s suggested that your loadout from the very first round persists throughout the game. This means that strategies involving acquiring weapons by scaling walls during the game could become less relevant or unnecessary.

For the game Zombies, the specifics about the armament setup (loadout system) are still undisclosed. It may potentially incorporate a weapon customization feature similar to DMZ’s extraction gunsmith, offering you the blueprint for the Ray Gun. Alternatively, it might follow a more conventional and widely accessible approach, mimicking the weapon setup of the multiplayer mode.

Following TheGamingRevolution’s labeling of it as an “L”, numerous fans voiced their discontent about the loadouts on social media. Content creator ProReborn commented, “Once more, it seems like a leveling simulator for Warzone.”

“Although I enjoyed the Cold War, I must admit it compromised the authentic experience of Call of Duty Zombies.” Another fan pointed out. Nevertheless, you can still opt for a pistol if you prefer, but the flexibility of saving credits for wall weapons and power machines may be limited due to this setup.
