Black Panther 3 Release Date Announced: What to Expect from the Next Marvel Blockbuster

The popular Marvel Comics series, known as the Black Panther, is set to have a new chapter, with Marvel Studios already announcing a release date for another sequel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Regrettably, Chadwick Boseman, who played the role of Black Panther, passed away before the production of Wakanda Forever, but his mantle has been passed to a new generation. Rest assured that the kingdom of Wakanda won’t be closing its doors anytime soon; there will be more than just the upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday, for fans to enjoy the iconic superhero.

As reported by Daniel Richtman, the third installment of “Black Panther” is scheduled for release in cinemas in February 2028. Ryan Coogler is set to resume his directorial duties, with Letitia Wright likely reprising her character Shuri, also known as Black Panther. This timeline positions it before the premiere of “Avengers: Secret Wars” on May 7, 2027. There have been rumors about a new actor stepping into the T’Challa role, but no official announcements have been made yet. It’s worth noting that this film is slated after the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga and before the commencement of the Mutant phase in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It’s almost certain that Denzel Washington will appear in the third Black Panther movie, though his character hasn’t been specified yet. Fans are guessing he might play Magneto, a popular mutant villain who sometimes acts as an anti-hero. Since the previous Black Panther villain was Namor, played by Tenoch Huerta, it’s reasonable to expect that Washington could bring Magneto into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ryan Coogler is reportedly working on the script for the next film, and we may learn more details about it later this year at San Diego Comic-Con.
