As a hardcore fan of K-Pop and Blackpink, I couldn’t be more thrilled to hear that Lisa, one of my favorite members, has been named Louis Vuitton’s newest house ambassador! This news comes as no surprise to me, given her bold and unique fashion sense and the individuality she brings to both music and style.
I’m thrilled to pieces as a die-hard Blackpink fan to share the news that our beloved Lisa has been appointed as the newest house ambassador for Louis Vuitton! The prestigious luxury fashion brand made this exciting announcement just yesterday.
A 27-year-old rapper and dancer attended Louis Vuitton’s latest women’s Fall/Winter 2024 fashion show in Paris. She is now among the brand’s previously announced representatives, which include Saoirse Ronan, Felix from Stray Kids, and J-Hope from BTS.
In a statement, the brand noted that Lisa’s unique fashion choices align with Nicolas Ghesquière’s influential women’s wear designs, which emphasize individuality and self-empowerment. Her accomplishments, the brand added, exemplify Louis Vuitton’s fundamental beliefs.
“Louis Vuitton’s women’s collections artistic director, Ghesquière, expressed his enthusiasm in a statement about welcoming Lisa as the new House Ambassador. Her fearless attitude and captivating charm drew him in. Just like her music, Lisa’s fashion choices are bold and innovative. It’s an honor to be part of her adventure together.”
The announcement about the ambassador role for the girl group member arrives during an already packed July schedule for her. Previously this month, she was revealed as a co-headliner for the 2024 Global Citizen Festival taking place at New York’s Central Park Great Lawn in September. Marking her first solo festival appearance, this event will follow Lisa’s groundbreaking joint headline act at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2023, alongside her Blackpink bandmates Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé. As a part of the renowned K-Pop supergroup, Blackpink, who made history as the first K-Pop act to headline this prestigious festival under YG Entertainment.
At the end of June, Lisa unveiled her newest solo track titled “Rockstar,” marking her initial collaboration with RCA Records following the formation of her solo partnership. In contrast, towards the end of 2023, Blackpink members made headlines as they decided to terminate their exclusive contracts with YG Entertainment for individual pursuits instead. However, earlier in December, it was reported that the group had extended their agreements for collective activities with the label.
In February, Lisa unveiled her new company, LLOUD, through an Instagram post, sharing that it was a place for her to express her musical and entertainment ideas. Later in April, RCA Records disclosed a partnership with Lisa and LLOUD. Under this arrangement, Lisa can issue fresh solo music under RCA Records while retaining complete control over all her recordings.
