As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for all things stylish and affordable, I can’t help but be intrigued by Blake Lively’s latest venture – Blake Brown Beauty. Being someone who values quality over price, it’s refreshing to see a celebrity creating products that don’t compromise on performance while keeping the wallet-friendly factor in mind.

Blake Lively is expanding her business empire from booze to cruelty-free beauty.
Actress best known for her role in ‘Gossip Girl’ has unveiled Blake Brown, her budget-friendly hair care line, hitting Target stores and their online platform on August 4th. The initial range, priced between $19 and $25, consists of eight products like liquid and dry shampoos, hair masks for pre- and post-washing, leave-in conditioner, styling mousse, etc. These formulations are designed to nourish, rehydrate, and strengthen the hair while gently cleansing it with a special “plant protein complex.” The brand claims these products help reduce frizz and give hair a shiny appearance.

Blake Brown’s collection offers delightful scents reminiscent of earthy, musky notes like vanilla, amber, blackcurrant, fig, cardamom, and sandalwood. According to Lively on Instagram, these fragrances resemble high-end perfume scents that she would personally consider purchasing.
Vegan solutions are free of sulfates, silicones, parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), synthetic colors, mineral oils, and other potentially harmful substances that might cause irritation. Moreover, the honeycomb-like packaging has a metallic finish and is made from recycled materials.
Lively explains on Instagram that instead of creating a line, she already had effective products. However, her goal was to offer an affordable alternative that delivers salon or red carpet-worthy performance. She discovered that the highest quality often comes at a high price, but her team didn’t give up until they achieved it. Moreover, Lively wanted the product to be cleaner than what she was currently using with excellent results, so she felt comfortable sharing it with her family.
She goes on to say, “My intention was to demonstrate the beauty of ultimate sustainability. Being deeply passionate about design, I also aimed for it to be visually striking, as your home’s shelf space is precious and should be attractive. I refused to compromise in achieving all these aspects concurrently. Now I understand why there was nothing available that met my objectives all at once. It was quite a challenge to construct.”
Over a span of seven years, the brand Blake Brown was developed in collaboration with Give Back Beauty, which is known for nurturing successful ventures like Millie Bobby Brown’s Florence by Mills beauty and fashion collections. Notably, this company has also crafted fragrances for prestigious brands such as Chopard, Zegna, Tommy Hilfiger, and Elie Saab. This latest launch follows Eva Longoria’s endeavors in creating her line of sparkling sodas and cocktails, Betty Buzz and Betty Booze.

The reason behind Blake Brown not being named after its founder is that the hair care brand honors Lively’s late father, Ernie Lively, who adopted her mother’s surname when they got married.
“Corrado Brondi, founder of Give Back Beauty, expresses gratitude for collaborating with Blake Lively in bringing her concept of Blake Brown to fruition. Together, they’ve produced a unique and remarkable product. The passion, direction, and intuition that Blake demonstrated during the brand development were exceptional – from the carefully formulated products to their captivating scents, she was deeply involved in every step. We made sure that each element of Blake Brown embodies Blake’s personal imprint and dedication to quality.”
