Bloomfield Works Honors Dancehall in New Apparel Collection

As a lifelong fan of Dancehall culture and a proud aficionado of all things Black excellence, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of respect and admiration for Bloomfield Works‘ latest collection, “Girls Night Fi Shine.” Growing up with the rhythmic beats of Dancehall pulsating through my neighborhood, I’ve always felt a connection to this vibrant culture that has not only shaped the soundtrack of my life but also played a pivotal role in shaping my identity.

Bloomfield Works’ philosophy emphasizes modern interpretations of significant Black themes, music, and cultural symbols, as expressed by its founder and creative director Warren Cochrane to TopMob prior to the brand’s participation in TopMob Flea New York. Consistently adhering to this principle, their latest release also follows suit.

Titled “Girls Night to Shine,” the newest collection from Cochrane’s label celebrates the women who have shaped Dancehall culture. References to Dancehall classics like the 1997 film “Dancehall Queen,” artist Lady Patra, and the legendary Ouch Crew are woven throughout the clothing items.

The standout piece is the “One Love” mesh jersey shape, debuting for the first time in a rich earthy brown color. Additionally, the “Who Jah Bless” hoodie appears in a sleek all-black design, featuring the distinctive NY airbrush emblem down the center and the Bloomfield Works logo on the chest. The collection is rounded out with several tees, such as the eye-catching “Ms. Joyce” and “Romantic Call” designs.

Costs vary between $30 and $100 US dollars. Take a peek at the display above and buy the entire Girls Night Fi Shine assortment directly from Bloomfield Works’ online store right away.
