Blue Bloods’ Donnie Wahlberg Snagged Danny Reagan’s Costumes After Final Season Wrapped, But I Really Love The Other Prop He Took Home

As a die-hard fan of Blue Bloods for over a decade now, it’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that we’re bidding farewell to the Reagan family. But hearing about Donnie Wahlberg keeping Danny Reagan’s costumes and the iconic dinner table warms my heart.

The TV series “Blue Bloods” is set to conclude in 2024 according to the current schedule, and next week will mark the farewell for the beloved Reagan family on our screens. Although many fans are still processing this news, the cast of “Blue Bloods” said their final goodbyes during the summer while filming wrapped up. As they parted ways, they each took a few mementos home with them as keepsakes. For instance, Donnie Wahlberg collected quite a collection, securing some of Danny Reagan’s outfits and an amazing prop that I just can’t get over!

Similar to many series concluding, the cast of “Blue Bloods” had the opportunity to retain some memorabilia from their 14-year long procedural. These items ranged from clothing and small trinkets to large set pieces. Wahlberg shared with People that he managed to keep Danny’s key outfits, not for his personal use but for a different purpose.

Instead, I set up my two Danny Reagan outfits – one in a blue suit and the other in dress blues – on mannequins and displayed them at a Wahlburgers restaurant.

In a similar vein to how Disney displays costumes in Hollywood Studios or museums showcase garments, it appears Wahlberg intended to exhibit Danny’s costumes, an idea that doesn’t seem unreasonable given their iconic status.

However, he arguably got to keep the most legendary prop too, as he revealed:

Initially, I hadn’t planned on picking anything from the collection, but when I discovered that the table and chairs were merely stored in a warehouse somewhere, my interest was piqued. I plan to arrange it as a seating area where fans can snap photos, and then I’ll likely hold a raffle for it. The proceeds will most likely go towards charity for the DEA’s Widows and Children’s Fund.

It’s hard for me to comprehend how the dinner table remained untouched. After all, throughout the run of Blue Bloods, that very table seemed almost like a central character, and the Reagan family dinners were undeniably the essence and lifeblood of the show.

Moreover, unlike most people who might simply bring such a table home, it’s clear that Wahlberg has something special planned for it. His plans remain unspecified regarding its location and duration, but given his involvement with the Wahlburgers chain, it seems plausible that it could end up at one of their restaurants.

One possibility could be: The most rewarding aspect is knowing that the table will eventually be donated to a charity helping widows and orphans of fallen police officers. It’s just the kind of compassionate act a person like Reagan would take, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the other cast members had heartwarming plans for their personal keepsakes too.

It’s hard to accept that “Blue Bloods” is wrapping up so soon and joins other shows slated to end or be canceled in 2024. Yet, it appears that some of the show’s props will find new homes. Although much may still be stored away in a warehouse, at least a few individuals will have the opportunity to create their own memories around the Reagan family’s dining table.
