Bob Odenkirk's Nobody 2 Just Landed A Surprising Choice For Its Villain, And I Can't Wait To See How Brutal These Brawls Get

As a huge fan of both Bob Odenkirk and Sharon Stone, I’m absolutely thrilled to hear that they will be going head-to-head in “Nobody 2.” Odenkirk has proven himself as a versatile actor through his impressive comedic and dramatic roles, while Stone’s iconic filmography speaks for itself. With her nearly 50-year-long acting career, she’s left an indelible mark on Hollywood with films like “Total Recall,” “Basic Instinct,” “Casino,” and “Antz.”

After entertaining audiences for decades as a comedic actor, Bob Odenkirk gained recognition in dramatic roles such as “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul.” In 2021, he made his action genre debut with the critically-acclaimed film “Nobody.” With “Nobody 2” on the horizon, we’re excited to see who will take on the role of the villain, even if it’s an unexpected casting decision. The potential confrontations between these two characters promise intense action scenes that could make “Nobody 2” one of the best action movies in the near future.

One month after it was reported that “Nobody 2” was not progressing further, it’s been unveiled that Sharon Stone has joined the cast for the sequel. The specifics of the storyline are still under wraps by Universal Pictures and 87North, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, Stone will portray the primary villainess in the film. This announcement comes five months following the premiere of “What About Love,” where Stone acted alongside Andy Garcia and Iain Glen.

Over the past nearly 50 years of my acting career, I’ve had the privilege of being a part of some truly iconic films like “Total Recall,” “Basic Instinct,” “Casino,” and “Antz.” More recently, I’ve shifted my focus towards television projects such as “Mosaic,” “Ratched,” and “The Flight Attendant.” Although it’s unclear whether my character in the upcoming sequel “Nobody 2” will end up fighting Bob Odenkirk’s Hutch or if I’ll be portraying a villain, I can’t help but get excited at the prospect of the two of us going head-to-head. Fingers crossed that it’s the former, as I’m already looking forward to this sequel – and the thought of seeing us square off only adds to my anticipation.

Odenkirk and Stone are currently the only actors announced for “Nobody 2,” but it’s important to note that there are also notable figures behind the scenes for the upcoming sequel. The film will be helmed by director Timo Tjahjanto, with a script penned by Derek Kolstad, Odenkirk, Aaron Rabin, and Umair Aleem. Odenkirk and Marc Provissiero are producing “Nobody 2” through their Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment banner, while Kelly McCormick and David Leitch from 87North, and Braden Aftergood from Eighty Two Films, will also produce.

On August 15, 2025, “Nobody 2” is slated for release, sharing the spotlight with Ryan Reynolds’ film “Animal Friends.” For updates on the sequel’s progress, stay tuned to TopMob. As of now, it’s not possible to stream “Nobody,” but you can buy or rent it digitally.
