Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur’s daughter Kaveri Kapur has entered the Hindi film industry, starring in “Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story”. Meanwhile, Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan debuted on the big screen with the romantic comedy “Loveyapa”. In a recent conversation, Kapur discussed the comparison to the Kapoor family, as well as her thoughts on working with her father Shekhar Kapur in the sequel to “Masoom”. Check out the interview!

In a recent interview, Kaveri Kapur, daughter of Shekhar Kapur, expressed her thoughts on being compared to Khushi Kapoor as rivals. During her conversation with Mid-Day, she mentioned that she prefers to disregard the discussions about their supposed competition. “Everyone can succeed in unique ways within the industry,” she said, further commenting that comparing art and competition tends to drain the pleasure from artistic pursuits.

Lately, the actress has been spotted acting alongside Vardhaan Puri, grandson of Amrish Puri, in the light-hearted film Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story. Following a sneak peek of her abilities, she’s now preparing to collaborate with her father, director Shekhar Kapur, on her next project. During an interview, this promising actress mentioned feeling some anxiety about her upcoming role. She explained that the reason for this apprehension is due to the fact that not only is she working with her dad, but also a number of highly skilled and experienced actors as well.

Kaveri admitted, “I’m really nervous, but I’m trying to approach it with a fresh perspective because there’s so much to learn from those who are more experienced than me. I also want to talk about my dad, who is an incredible filmmaker. He has a remarkable ability to understand and portray emotions, as seen in the 1983 film Masoom. One thing I love most about him as a director is his knack for delving into the depths of human nature and emotions.

In a short while, Kaveri is set to collaborate with Shekhar Kapur on the sequel of Masoom, provisionally named Masoom… The New Generation. Notably, the original film features Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi, Jugal Hansraj, and Urmila Matondkar in significant roles.
