As a dedicated follower of Bobby Deol’s career spanning over three decades, I find his candidness and humility truly endearing. Despite the impressive milestones he has achieved, such as his debut film Barsaat turning 30 this year, he remains grounded with a youthful spirit that keeps him motivated.
Bobby Deol made a big entrance as a leading actor with his first movie, Barsaat, in 1995, an achievement about to mark its 30th year. Despite his long career in the industry, he openly admitted feelings of self-doubt, looking back at the years gone by and pondering over what he has genuinely achieved. Remarkably, he shared that he retains a young, innocent outlook, which keeps his spirit vibrant.
Bobby Deol, starting his acting career alongside his renowned father Dharmendra in the 1977 film Dharam Veer, recently looked back on his extensive career in the industry. He mentioned that at times, when contemplating the length of his time spent in the profession, it seems to him like he hasn’t achieved as much as he had hoped.
He shared with PTI, “When you consider the number of years you’ve invested, it can sometimes leave you feeling like you haven’t accomplished much over that time span.
The seasoned actor, who is 57 years old, conveyed his appreciation for having worked in the entertainment field for three decades and remaining an active participant. He admitted to frequently feeling youthful at heart and made a humorous remark, “In my thoughts, I still think as a child does. It’s only when I look upon my children that I am reminded, ‘Ah, I have grown old.’
He mentioned that in the pursuit of self-improvement and achieving his goals, it’s easy to lose track of how many years have gone by. He also noted that he has been taking on more projects in the South film industry than in Bollywood, which he views positively.
With intriguing roles ahead, Bobby expresses gratitude for the chances he’s been given.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but admire Bobby Deol, a shining star in Bollywood. He’s gained renown for his roles in movies such as Soldier, Gupt, Humraaz, Race 3, and Housefull 4. Yet, it’s his recent performances in the Netflix film Class of 83 and the web series Aashram that have truly captured the hearts of many, earning him considerable acclaim.
Over the past year, Deol made a significant impact with his powerful portrayal of the mute antagonist Abrar alongside Ranbir Kapoor in the action-filled movie “Animal”. Now, he’s ready to expand his horizons by joining South Indian cinema, appearing in the Tamil film titled “Kanguva”. In this project, Suriya takes the lead role. Directed by Siva, “Kanguva” is set for a worldwide release on November 14.
