BOSS Walks Out of Office for Spring 2025

As a fashion enthusiast who has spent countless hours navigating the rigid confines of corporate attire, I can wholeheartedly appreciate BOSS’ Spring 2025 collection titled “Out of Office.” Having spent my days trapped in the suffocating embrace of stiff collars and constricting blazers, I find it refreshing to see a brand daring to deconstruct the business dress code.

On a sunny Wednesday afternoon, Khalid, David Beckham, Kaya Scodelario, Michael Ward, Khaby Lame, and others took their places in the verdant Palazzo del Sanato garden for the Spring 2025 show by BOSS. The event, known as “Out of Office,” challenged the traditional business dress code during Milan Fashion Week. It reinvented workplace attire for less conventional after-work situations while preserving a sense of the formal elegance BOSS is renowned for.

In a departure from rigid, double-breasted power suits that emphasize structure and are seen as inflexible armor, Marco Falcioni, the brand’s SVP of creative direction, has shared that this season focuses on a more subtle three-button suit in softer materials. Instead of enveloping the body with rigid shoulder pads and tight internal structures, these suits softly embrace the wearer.

In addition to their three-button suits, BOSS introduced a line of deconstructed silk coats featuring shawl lapels, casual shirts with single pockets and hidden button compartments, as well as tailored shorts falling just below the knee. For women, they designed trench coats, blazers, dresses, and skirts that emphasize freedom of movement through dramatic draping, perfectly suited for the carefree spirit BOSS envisions in its customers for the upcoming season.

Falcioni describes the company’s casual transition as a refreshing change: “True leaders are strong and self-assured; they understand when it’s time to disconnect and reclaim their personal space, step out for leisure, and unwind without being bound by the constraints of ranks or regulations.
