Brad Pitt Waxes Poetic About the Last Stage of His Acting Career

Brad Pitt Waxes Poetic About the Last Stage of His Acting Career

As a movie buff with over three decades of Hollywood history under my belt, I can confidently say that Brad Pitt is far from his “last legs.” In fact, the man is just getting started! The recent collaboration between him and George Clooney in “Wolfs” is a testament to their undeniable on-screen chemistry, which has only grown stronger over the years.

Rest assured, Brad Pitt’s acting days aren’t over just yet, contrary to his “last legs” remark. In the near future, movie enthusiasts will have the pleasure of watching him collaborate with his longtime friend and fellow star, George Clooney, in director Jon Watts’ upcoming production titled “Wolfs.” While Pitt hinted at the end of his career back in June 2022 (as reported by GQ), it appears that he has plenty of energy left.

Despite being 60 years old, the seasoned actor continues to thrive in Hollywood, both on-screen and off-screen. In a fresh feature article, Pitt clarifies the meaning behind his “last legs” comment, and he discusses his future plans for working in the film industry. According to GQ, Pitt stated:

“Reflecting on my own journey, I liken it to transitioning through the seasons of life. Leaving behind the comfort and familiarity of the Ozarks was akin to the beginning of a new season – filled with excitement, curiosity, challenges, heartache, and everything in between. It was a time of discovery, a time when every day felt like a fresh start.

Pitt continued:

“So, what does the future hold for these coming years? I observe my parents aging, much like George [Clooney] described, as the body becomes weaker in our 80s. Yet, I am inspired by Frank Gehry, a man of 95 who continues to create remarkable art. He’s not only talented but also has a loving family, which I believe is the key to staying creative and enjoying life.”

Back in 2001 with “Ocean’s Eleven,” Brad Pitt and George Clooney created a dynamic duo that lit up the silver screen in those thrilling casino crime caper films. Now, they’re teaming up once again for “Wolfs,” and their real-life camaraderie is definitely evident on set. But fear not, movie lovers, these two A-listers aren’t planning on taking a break from their flourishing careers anytime soon. In fact, when I sat down with them both recently, they shared that they’re as dedicated and passionate about their craft today as ever.

“Currently, I’m working on one movie every year and a half [laughs], but don’t be fooled, I’m still following my usual path. I still feel the same. To be honest, I’m just trying to appreciate the people I care about and savor life itself, as you can see out here in the vineyard.”

As a cinephile, I can’t help but express how the atmosphere feels invigoratingly crisp, and the verdure seems to dance under the sun. Somehow, I find myself embracing this role, albeit subtly. It’s as if I’m gaining an appreciation for life’s ephemeral nature – something that we all must confront. With a knowing smile, I echo George Clooney’s sentiments, acknowledging the inevitability of our mortality and becoming increasingly mindful of it.

Brad Pitt’s remarkable film career has compiled an imposing resume within Hollywood, boasting numerous critically acclaimed performances. His talent has been recognized by the Academy four times for roles in films like “12 Monkeys”, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, and “Moneyball”. He was awarded the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood”. Additionally, Pitt holds an Academy Award for Best Picture as part of the creative team behind the 2013 film “12 Years a Slave”.

The movie “Wolves” premieres in high-end and IMAX cinemas on September 20, while it will be available for streaming on Apple TV+ starting from September 27.
