Brandon Sklenar Dreams of Crushing It as Batman in DCU Reboot

A much-discussed aspiration among fans is the desire to see a favorite actor, notably one from the “1923” spin-off of “Yellowstone,” namely star Tim Sklenar, embody the legendary superhero Batman in real life. In an interview with TheMoviePodcast, Sklenar expressed his eagerness (especially to James Gunn) about portraying the Dark Knight in the DC Universe, stating he would do a fantastic job. When asked about the possibility of playing Batman in the upcoming reboot, Sklenar shared that this has been a cherished dream of his for quite some time.

Since I was a kid, Batman has always been my most cherished comic book character, and deep down, I’ve harbored the secret ambition of becoming him myself. It’s not something I openly express often.

I began noticing an abundance of fan art and found myself exclaiming, “Wow, this is intriguing! It’s quite logical. It’s incredibly logical.” There seems to be a striking similarity between these characters, much like Spencer Dutton. In fact, there are many shared traits among such men. I believe I would excel in that role and would jump at the opportunity if it arises – I’d be more than willing to take it on!

There’s little doubt that Sklenar, who has made a name for himself in films like Emily the Criminal, Vice, and It Ends with Us, seems eager to land the role of Batman in the DCU. His enthusiasm is obvious, but whether he will actually get the part remains uncertain, despite his boastful claims that he could excel in it.

David Corenswet Was a Popular Fancasting Choice for Superman… And Now He’s Superman

Although fantasizing about roles rarely materializes, there’s a recent example that might boost Brandon Sklenar‘s confidence: David Corenswet from “Hollywood” and “Twisters”. This actor has been widely supported as the ideal choice for the Superman role for quite some time, with Corenswet himself expressing on multiple occasions that embodying Clark Kent was a lifelong dream of his. Does this resonate?

At the moment, it’s still unknown who will play Batman in the upcoming DCU revamp. Although several popular superheroes are gearing up to appear alongside Superman this year, the only glimpse we’ve had of Batman is a moving shadow in the animated series Creature Commandos. However, we do have information that Batman will indeed be included, as James Gunn has hinted that the project is called The Brave and the Bold.

In the upcoming movie “The Brave and the Bold,” directed by Andy Muschietti, who also helmed “It” and “The Flash,” we’ll encounter a fresh take on the DC icon alongside Robert Pattinson’s portrayal of Batman. This new DCU film will introduce Damian Wayne as Robin, adding a compelling father-son relationship between Bruce and Damian to the Batman series. However, whether Brand Sklenar will be the actor chosen to embody this new iteration of Robin remains to be seen.
