As a dedicated Brave Nine player for years now, I can’t help but feel a pang of sadness hearing about its closure. Seven years is a long time to invest in a game, and it’s always tough to say goodbye. But as they say, every ending is a new beginning, and the developers’ decision to make the game available offline is a silver lining in this situation.

regretfully, I must share some disappointing news: Brave Nine, the strategy RPG developed by Neowiz, is closing its operations following seven years of service. The game’s official Facebook page announced that the final update for Brave Nine will be released in December 2024, after which the game will cease to function.

If you’re a fan of Brave Nine, don’t worry! Although the developers have confirmed that the December update will mark the end of updates and disconnect the network, they’re moving the game to a self-contained version. The goal is that once the final update concludes the storyline, you’ll be able to replay the game at your convenience whenever you desire.

Instead of many mobile live-service games, which have sadly turned extinct and are no longer playable even offline, this one offers a more appealing choice. Though it might not be much consolation for Brave Nine enthusiasts, at least you can still engage with the game to some extent.

2023-2024 saw a challenging phase due to game shutdowns, and unfortunately, the gaming sector has taken a significant hit this year with numerous layoffs and cost-reduction measures. Therefore, it’s crucial to recall these hardships and appreciate Neowiz for their efforts in trying to maintain Brave Nine as effectively as possible moving forward.
