Breguet Unveils A Duo of Classique Wristwatches in Platinum

As a seasoned collector with a penchant for timeless elegance and exquisite craftsmanship, these Breguet Classique 5177 and Classique 7787 platinum masterpieces have sent my heart racing! The sheer beauty of these pieces, encased in precious 950 platinum and adorned with Grand Feu enamel dials, is a testament to the brand’s unwavering commitment to excellence.

For the first time, Breguet has introduced two platinum references to its Classique lineup: the Classique 5177 and Classique 7787.

Wrapped snugly in 950 platinum, these references sport sleek black Grand Feu enamel dials, adding a touch of elegance to their design. The numerals and hands on the sophisticated dial are reminiscent of Breguet style, while the minute tracks feature an intriguing pattern that alternates between diamond-shaped motifs and stick figures every quarter. As a gamer, I can’t help but appreciate the attention to detail in this timepiece.

The Classique 5177 features a sleek 38mm case size, boasting its distinctive design elements, including an understated 3 o’clock date window. This luxurious piece retails for approximately £37,400 GBP or $48,491 USD. Powered by the 777 Q Manufacture caliber, it houses a rhodium-plated gold rotor adorned with a “starry mosaic” guilloché pattern and inscribed as the “BREGUET EDITION SPECIALE.

The Classique 7787 model, priced approximately $57,567 USD (£44,400 GBP), boasts a more affectionate watch face design. Its unique crescent moon profile includes a cut-out window for easy reading of the 29.5 days in the lunar phase cycle. Below this, a fan-shaped power-reserve scale adorns the dial, indicating the usage level of its 38-hour in-house movement housed within the 591 DRL. The watch’s open caseback offers a glimpse at the 22-carat gold micro-rotor, rhodium-plated and intricately designed with a “barley grain” guilloché pattern.

The new items can be explored at Breguet’s stores. For further information, check out their official website.
