As a seasoned gamer of the fashion realm, I must say that the upcoming Burberry Summer 2025 showcase has piqued my interest to an unprecedented level. The collaboration between Daniel Lee and Gary Hume promises to be a visual spectacle, with Hume’s abstract artwork reminiscent of his iconic ‘Bays’ series taking center stage at the National Theatre.

On Monday afternoon, British designer Daniel Lee is set to unveil his fourth collection as the lead of Burberry during a special event at London’s National Theatre. This marks the first time that Burberry has chosen this iconic location for their fashion show. As the closing act of London Fashion Week, the Summer 2025 presentation will serve as another platform to showcase Lee’s boundless imagination for the brand. The runway stage design promises to be nothing short of captivating.

In a unique collaboration, Burberry is teaming up with British artist Gary Hume to design an exclusive interior setup at the National Theatre. Drawing inspiration from his abstract artwork, particularly the “Bays” exhibition he presented in 1990, the design will showcase vibrant hues and emulate the painting on a larger scale. Following his recent reintroduction of “Bays,” Hume’s art has made him a prominent figure in contemporary modernism. When Daniel proposed working together on this project, I was taken aback he knew about the “Bays” installation since it’s an older piece of mine that hasn’t received much attention. It’s truly a privilege to collaborate with him for this show and create the set design for such a renowned brand at such a prestigious location, says Hume.

On Thursday, September 16, at 4:00 p.m. (British Standard Time), Burberry’s Summer 2025 collection will be displayed on the stage of the National Theatre in London.
