As a long-time Britney Spears fan, I can hardly contain my excitement over the news of an upcoming biopic about her life! From her days as a Mouseketeer to the pop sensation we all know and love, Britney’s story is one that has captivated millions worldwide.
A biopic about Britney Spears is officially in the works over at Universal Pictures.
As reported by Variety, the forthcoming movie is set to be directed by Jon M. Chu, known for his work on Wicked, and produced by Marc Platt. Spears hinted at this “top-secret production” during her X show and verified Platt’s participation, expressing that he creates her favorite films. At the moment, the identity of the actor playing the artist remains undisclosed.
Universal Pictures obtained the rights to publish the memoir titled “The Woman in Me,” written by the popstar, from October 2023 onwards. This book offers an in-depth look into Spears’ life, encompassing her personal experiences as well as her professional journey, tracing back to her time as a member of the Mickey Mouse Club and delving into her close relationships, legal battles such as the conservatorship case, and her musical accomplishments.
Stay tuned for an official trailer and release date.
Thrilled to reveal that I’ve been secretly collaborating with Marc Platt on a new venture! His films have always been my favorites, so make sure to keep an eye out for updates. 🌺🎥
