Brooklyn Decker, Maximo Salas Board Amazon’s Music Drama ‘The Runarounds’

As a die-hard fan of music, drama, and the magical blend they create when combined, I can hardly contain my excitement about Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming series, The Runarounds! With a cast that includes Brooklyn Decker, Maximo Salas, Marley Aliah, Hayes MacArthur, Mark Wystrach, Shea Pritchard, and the real-life band members from Outer Banks, this show promises to be an unforgettable musical journey.

Amazon Prime Video has unveiled a host of new faces for its upcoming music drama The Runarounds.

The fictional YA drama created by Jonas Pate, titled Outer Banks, has added Brooklyn Decker, Maximo Salas, Marley Aliah, Hayes MacArthur, Mark Wystrach, and Shea Pritchard to its cast, who are all aiming for success in a post-high school band.

They have now become part of the Skydance Television series that was previously announced, which features members from a real-life band – William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher, as well as Lilah Pate and Kelley Pereira.

The show titled “Runarounds” centers around a close-knit gang of recent high school graduates who decide to form a rock band during summertime. They find themselves at a crossroads, either accepting the demands of adulthood or daring to risk everything in their quest to become the most legendary band ever. Contrary to speculation, “Runarounds” is not a spinoff from “Outer Banks,” although the actual group with the same name did appear in an episode of that popular YA series on Netflix during its third season.

The Runarounds was established as a band back in 2021, when Pate put out a call for actors to join his project that would be featured on the show Outer Banks. This upcoming drama shares similarities with Outer Banks, and it will be filmed and based in Wilmington, North Carolina. Skydance Television is responsible for its production, and it’s set to debut worldwide on Amazon Prime Video.

David Wilcox’s “The Runarounds” has been picked up by Skydance TV for its sixth show on Amazon, joining the lineup alongside “Reacher,” “Jack Ryan,” the action-adventure series “Cross” featuring Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham, and a new docuseries focusing on the Idaho Murders case.

The TV show “The Runarounds” is overseen by a team of executive producers that includes Pate, Wilcox, Joon Yun, Josh Pate, Shannon Burke, Lisa Mae Fincannon, Scott Lambert, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell.
