Bruce Springsteen to Release Seven ‘Lost’ Albums in June

This summer, I’m thrilled to share that I, as a die-hard Bruce Springsteen fan, will be getting my hands on seven previously unheard albums of his, all collected in an extensive box set!

I’m thrilled to share that on June 27th, Bruce Springsteen will be unveiling “Tracks II: The Lost Albums” through Sony Music! This incredible compilation includes a staggering 83 tracks spread across seven different records, all of which were recorded between 1983 and 2018.

This release marks the second installment in the “Tracks” series, 27 years after the first one hit shelves in 1998. However, unlike its predecessor that featured demos and unreleased songs, this edition encompasses complete albums that have remained lost until now.

Springsteen revealed on Thursday that The Lost Albums were complete records, some of which had been mixed but never released. He has been playing these songs privately for many years and is now excited to share them with you. I hope you will find enjoyment in listening to them.

Kicking off the collection is the 18-track album titled “LA Garage Sessions ’83“, which was recorded during the time between his renowned albums “Nebraska” and “Born in the U.S.A.“. The other six records in this collection are named “Streets of Philadelphia Sessions, Faithless, Somewhere North of Nashville, Inyo, Twilight Hours“, and “Perfect World“. Springsteen shared a preview from the set, the song “Rain in the River” from the album “Perfect World“, on Thursday as well. The entire collection is now available for pre-order.

Having the freedom to record at home whenever I desired, opened up numerous musical paths for me,” Springsteen mentioned. For instance, “The LA Garage Sessions” is labeled as a ‘lo-fi exploration’, whereas “North of Nashville” carries a country influence and “Twilight Hours” is marketed as an ‘orchestra-driven mid-century noir’.

The announcement for the box set arrives as 20th Century Studios works to finalize their Springsteen biopic titled “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” featuring Jeremy Allen White in the lead role. In January, Springsteen himself paid a visit to the set and expressed his admiration for White’s acting.

On SiriusXM’s E Street Radio, Springsteen remarked that Jeremy’s acting skills are so exceptional that it feels like you’re completely immersed in the performance.
