Bryan Seabury’s Role Expanded at CBS Studios, Will Now Lead Content Strategy

Longtime CBS Studios executive Bryan Seabury has been promoted into an expanded role.

At the studio, Seabury has been appointed as Executive Vice President with a focus on leading content strategy, in addition to his current role as head of drama development.

His new job involves managing the content strategy for the studio, focusing particularly on expanding franchises and maximizing existing intellectual properties to cater to a worldwide audience through various platforms like television, streaming services, and upcoming media technologies.

As a gamer, I’ve noticed that game studios are increasingly appointing executives for strategic content roles, especially with revamping established franchises becoming trendy. For instance, just this week, Sony Pictures TV appointed former Disney executive Jennifer Rogers Doyle to oversee franchise management.

Seabury will continue to report to CBS Studios president David Stapf.

Previous projects overseen by Seabury and his team encompass a modern take on the popular series Matlock, as well as the renowned NCIS and Star Trek franchise. This executive began working at CBS Studios back in 2006.
