As a seasoned gamer and watch enthusiast with a penchant for all things music and pop culture, I find myself utterly smitten by Bulgari’s latest masterpiece – the Aluminium GMT X Fender. Having grown up surrounded by the strumming sounds of classic rock, this limited-edition timepiece strikes an instant chord with me. The fusion of watchmaking artistry and guitar design is a symphony of style that I can’t help but applaud.
As a gaming enthusiast and watch lover, I’m excited about the new limited-edition Aluminium GMT from Bulgari, inspired by the iconic 1954 Fender Stratocaster guitar. This collaboration brings the vibrant colors of the legendary instrument to life, with only 1,200 pieces available worldwide, perfect timing for the Stratocaster’s 70th anniversary! To make this celebration even more special, Bulgari is offering 140 exclusive anniversary sets and a limited edition of 70 custom Fender Stratocaster guitars for collectors to commemorate the occasion.
In 2020, during the Geneva Watch Days event, the Bvlgari Bvlgari Aluminio made its comeback. Originally launched in 1998, this sporty watch was considered unorthodox due to its black rubber strap and lightweight aluminum dial adorned with the double Bvlgari logo on the rubber bezel. The latest limited edition of this iconic timepiece now sports the original Fender Stratocaster hues. The stylish blend showcases a brown gradient on the dial, contrasting beautifully with the creamy white and dark brown 24-hour GMT scale.
This watch features Arabic numerals while keeping the traditional positions of 12 and 6 o’clock, with the date window positioned at 3 o’clock. The Bulgari Aluminium GMT X Fender model comes in a sleek 40mm aluminum case, standing at just 9.7mm high, and boasting 100m water resistance. Both the crown and caseback are coated with black DLC-coated titanium, making the watch lightweight thanks to its combination of aluminum and titanium. The rubber strap has been redesigned with a velcro fastening system. Powered by the BVL calibre 192 (a classic Sellita SW 330) and offering automatic movement, this timepiece allows the GMT hand to be adjusted in one-hour increments. The watch is priced at €4,600 EUR.
