As a seasoned collector of timepieces with a penchant for the golden era, I must say that the new Bulova Chairman of the Board wristwatch from their Frank Sinatra Collection truly takes me back. The art deco aesthetic and vintage appeal of this watch, paired with modern elegance, is like stepping into a time machine straight to the Rat Pack days.
Once again, Bulova introduces a fresh, limited-edition watch as part of its Frank Sinatra Collection – the Chairman of the Board timepiece.
In the spirit of Bulova’s 1939 President watch, the latest timepiece maintains its Art Deco style and vintage charm, yet updates it with contemporary sophistication. Dressed in a rectangular, 18k gold-plated casing and a smooth black dial. The indices and hands, too, exude a rich golden tone that mirrors the shade of the crown and watch case. Notably, the 12 o’clock index is substituted with an emblem of Sinatra’s famous fedora hat.
At the core of this stylish piece lies a Swiss automatic movement, capable of running for 42 hours without winding. This mechanism can be admired through the partially transparent back of the watch, with the Sinatra family crest embossed on the sapphire crystal window. Finally, a brown leather strap made from calfskin adds to its vintage charm.
For a limited time, only 5,000 pieces of the “Chairman of the Board” timepiece, inspired by Frank Sinatra, are up for sale on Bulova’s online store. The price tag is set at $1,950 USD.
