The Cadillac brand is extending its Escalade series by launching the 2026 Escalade IQL, an all-electric model. This vehicle is engineered to provide more room for passengers and cargo, featuring a longer profile and elevated luxury without compromising the performance synonymous with the Escalade moniker.
John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac, stated that the Escalade has been the top-selling luxury full-size SUV in North America since 2014. Now, Cadillac provides customers with two options for the Escalade: models powered by internal combustion engines and electric versions, known as the Escalade IQL.
Designed prioritizing passenger convenience, the Escalade IQL offers enhanced third-row legroom and a spacious cargo compartment. This SUV additionally offers a 12.2-cubic-foot eTrunk for safe front storage. The Executive Second Row package, available inside, includes massaging, heated, ventilated seats with 14-way power adjustments, dual wireless phone charging, and personal screens.
The interior of the Escalade IQL is modernized with advanced features, led by a 55-inch curved screen spanning from pillar to pillar. The built-in AKG Studio 21-speaker sound system can be enhanced to an AKG Studio Reference 42-speaker setup. As standard, Cadillac’s Super Cruise technology for autonomous driving is included.
Remarkably, the Escalade IQL boasts a potent 24-module battery from GM, providing an estimated range of around 460 miles. Using DC fast charging, this SUV can quickly add up to 116 miles of range in just a matter of 10 minutes. In Velocity Max mode, it offers impressive performance stats like 750 horsepower, 785 lb-ft of torque, and the ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in an astonishing 4.7 seconds. Additional features include Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, and a robust towing capacity of 7,500 lbs.
The Escalade IQL model will come in four versions: Luxury, Sport, High-End Luxury, and High-End Sport. Manufacturing commences at Factory ZERO by General Motors in Detroit around mid-2025, with a base price of $132,695 USD.
