The first season focuses on Bella (Ananya Panday), who hails from an affluent background but finds out that her family could become bankrupt within a year due to some financial troubles. Faced with this predicament, her mother urges her to pursue Agastya (Vihaan Samat), a prominent businessman, and eventually they get married. This union helps Bella save her family from impending financial difficulties.

Initially, because Agastya was emotionally distant, Bella started a romantic relationship with her fitness trainer, Prince (Varun Sood). Unfortunately, this affair was discovered, causing Bella to end things with Agastya and lose the wealth associated with their marriage. The narrative then shifts to Bella’s journey of personal growth as she transforms into a self-reliant woman capable of managing her own life.

This comedy-drama titled “Call Me Bae” was written by Ishita Moitra, Rohit Nair, and Samina Motlekar. Colin D’Cunha takes on the role as director. The main cast includes Gurfateh Pirzada, Muskkaan Jaferi, Varun Sood, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Vihaan Samat, Vir Das, Riya Sen, Mini Mathur, Suchitra Pillai, Karishma Tanna, Sayani Gupta, and others in significant roles. “Call Me Bae” is co-produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under the production house of Dharmatic Entertainment.
