As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent in the Call of Duty universe, I can confidently say that the AK74 is a weapon I’ve grown to appreciate, despite its notorious recoil issues. Over the years, I’ve learned the hard way that a well-crafted loadout can turn even the most challenging weapons into game-changers.
The AK-74 is often the preferred choice among many gamers, not just in Black Ops 6 but across several Call of Duty games. While it has impressive firepower, it also presents significant challenges, a common theme with this weapon. Despite its high damage output, the AK-74 struggles slightly with recoil and handling.
“If your necessary settings aren’t activated, then here’s some valuable information about optimizing the AK74 build for you.
The Best AK74 Loadout in Call of Duty Black Ops 6
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Barrel: Reinforced Barrel
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Magazine: Extended Mag 2
- Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
This completes the build for the AK74.
Details of the AK74 Build
In simpler terms, for assembling an AK74, the initial accessory provided is a Compensator, primarily designed to enhance Accuracy by reducing the impact of Recoil Gun Kick and improving Vertical Recoil Control. Given the notoriously tough recoil management history of the AK74 in Call of Duty series, using this attachment can be quite beneficial for new users.
An additional accessory that notably enhances precision is the Vertical Grip, primarily designed for managing Recoil Gun Kick and Horizontal Recoil Movement.
Additionally, you may find that the AK74 packs quite a punch, inflicting substantial damage. However, its bullet speed is relatively slower compared to other assault rifles on the market. But with the addition of the Reinforced Barrel as your second attachment, the AK74’s bullet velocity receives a 20% boost.
For our class, we’ll be using the Extended Mag 2 instead of the Extended Mag 1 for the magazine. The advantage of this upgrade is that it offers a larger capacity of 50 rounds, as opposed to the 40 rounds provided by the Extended Mag 1. However, it comes with some drawbacks: a slower reload time and a longer time required for ADS (Aim Down Sights) and Sprint-to-Fire Speed.
In our previous discussion, it was emphasized that Recoil offers an advantage for the AK74 over other Assault Rifles. Consequently, we’ve chosen to include Recoil Springs as the final attachment in this class. This addition provides a 5% boost in Gun Kick Recoil, Horizontal Recoil Control, and Vertical Recoil Control, enhancing gameplay for players.
If you haven’t upgraded the Recoil Springs Fire Mods or find it unsatisfactory due to its disadvantages, consider trying out the Commando Grip instead, located within the Rear Grip section of your weapon. This attachment offers improved Aim Down Sight Speed and Sprint-to-Fire Speed, boosting both by approximately 13%.
The AK74: A No-Recoil and Deadly Build
- Bullet Velocity: 20% increase.
- Recoil Gun Kick: 29% increase.
- Reload Quickness: 10% decrease.
- Sprint-to-Fire Speed: 10% decrease.
- Vertical Recoil Control: 29% increase.
- Aim Down Sight Speed: 7% decrease.
- Horizontal Recoil Control: 33% increase.
- Empty Reload Quickness: 11% decrease.
