Cam Gigandet, Sam Trammell Action-Thriller ‘72 Hours’ Lands at Brainstorm Media (Exclusive)

As a die-hard action thriller enthusiast with a soft spot for sibling rivalry narratives, I can hardly contain my excitement for “72 Hours”! Having grown up on a steady diet of films where family bonds are tested to their limits, this movie promises to deliver a unique twist on the classic premise that I’ve always yearned for.

72 Hours, an action-packed thriller helmed by director Christian Sesma featuring Sam Trammell and Twilight star Cam Gigandet, has been acquired by Brainstorm Media for distribution.

On November 1st, 2024, the film “72 Hours” is set for a theatrical and on-demand debut. This gripping story revolves around two brothers – one being a dedicated FBI agent and the other an international crypto money launderer. Due to a shared predicament, they must bury their differences and team up to protect their family.

However, they find themselves undertaking a perilous operation in the dominion of a ruthless crime lord, where they encounter lethal obstacles as they strive to complete their mission before it’s too late. The star-studded cast features Nicky Whelan and Jana Kramer from ‘One Tree Hill’.

Michelle Shwarzstein, CEO of Brainstorm Media, expressed her excitement about collaborating on the project titled ‘72 Hours‘ with Toric Films and Grandave teams. As avid admirers of Christian’s directing style, she believes that this film promises much anticipation: fast-paced action sequences, a talented cast, and a fresh perspective on a well-known theme that viewers will find captivating.

The movie titled “72 Hours” is derived from an original story by Roberto Sanchez, and its screenplay was jointly written by Sesma and Sean Crayne. Toric Films, in collaboration with Beacon Media, were responsible for its production. David Wachs and Ojan Missaghi are the film’s producers, while Manoj Narender Madnani and Gurpreet Chandhoke serve as executive producers.

As a gamer, I’d say: “Working alongside Workhorse Cinema in South Georgia to film an intense, pulse-pounding movie has given us the chance to push our creative boundaries and breathe life into the crime heist genre. The story we’ve crafted is primarily about two brothers and their unwavering loyalty towards each other, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it!” – Sesma (Director), statement.

The agreement for the purchase was worked out between Tamara Nagahiro from Grandave and Alex Peters at Brainstorm Media.
