- Celebrate 30 years of Warcraft in Candy Crush Saga of all places
- Throw your lot in with either Orcs or Humans as you duke it out
- Win amazing rewards as you compete through the Warcraft Games
As a lifelong fan of both Warcraft and Candy Crush Saga, I can hardly contain my excitement as these two titans join forces for this unprecedented collaboration! Growing up with the intricate lore and epic battles of Warcraft, and later becoming addicted to the sweet, colorful chaos of Candy Crush, it’s surreal to see them merge in a way that feels both unexpected and natural.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of its popular game franchise Warcraft, Blizzard has been generously providing fans with various in-game celebrations and prizes. However, for those not familiar with it, the impact of this massive franchise is hard to overlook. And that’s because, surprisingly, Warcraft will collaborate with the popular match-3 puzzle game Candy Crush Saga!
Absolutely correct!
During this occasion, you’ll choose to support either Team Tiffi (symbolizing Humans) or Team Yeti (standing in for Orcs). The Warcraft Games is a thrilling competition featuring qualifying rounds, elimination matches, and a final showdown. The victors will be richly rewarded with 200 gold bars within the game for their triumph!
For the Horde…of candy?
On a Friday night, I didn’t anticipate writing about this topic, but somehow it feels as if it was destined to happen eventually. After all, Warcraft and Candy Crush are both prominent franchises from the same group of companies. It’s only surprising that this hasn’t happened earlier.
It’s also a sign of just how mainstream Warcraft arguably is, that this event is now going to be pushed in front of an audience many hardcore gamers seem to malign. How times change eh?
