In a chat with Mid-Day, Ishaan Khatter shared his emotions about attending the Cannes Film Festival for the first time with a movie. He emphasized, “A film festival is all about movies. The essence of cinema lies in its core.” The actor had long desired to attend this global event with a film, and he stated, “I didn’t want to simply go there as an audience member.” Ishaan found the experience of going to Cannes with a movie to be a realization of his dreams.
The film “Homebound” was chosen as the official pick for the 78th Festival De Cannes, falling under the Un Certain Regard category. This movie is both written and helmed by Neeraj Ghaywan, who previously introduced his work “Masaan” at Cannes as well.
After learning that Martin Scorsese, the renowned Hollywood director, had joined their project as an executive producer, Ishaan expressed it as “the opportunity of a lifetime.” He further expressed his sentiments by saying, “A dream has come true in the most unbelievable fashion.
