Indochina Productions, a prominent production house in Southeast Asia, has unveiled TSixtySix, a new studio dedicated to producing original Thai-language films and series with local authenticity and international appeal. This Bangkok-based venture marks Indochina’s first foray into domestic-language content. Co-founded by Cod Satrusayang, Nicholas Simon, Pel Siro, and Tri Kanchanadul, TSixtySix aims to create high-quality Thai narratives that resonate beyond Thailand’s borders.
At the Cannes Film Festival, TSixtySix was officially introduced. The company’s initial slate includes two original features already in development: The Great Esarn Heist, directed by Cantana Tiprachart (Na Harn: The Series) about a group of small-town friends conspiring to rob a corrupt network of local officials, and Songkhram Songkran, the directorial debut of rising filmmaker Pisinee Khaosamai, which explores the anarchic energy of teenage biker gangs and influencer culture during Thailand’s water-soaked New Year festival. Both projects are set to start production later this year with a planned release in 2026.
The launch of TSixtySix coincides with a surge in momentum for Thai cinema. Indochina Productions also produced and co-financed Useful Ghost, the Thai feature premiering in Cannes Critics’ Week this week. In addition, Miramax announced plans to remake the Thai blockbuster How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies, which earned over $55 million internationally last year.
According to Satrusayang, the founder of TSixtySix, Indochina’s enthusiasm for Thai cinema made this expansion a natural step. He believes that with the right support and framework, Thai films can compete on a global stage. The founding team brings extensive industry experience, with Satrusayang executive-producing shows like Deane’s Dynasty and co-producing projects such as Useful Ghost. Simon, the founder of Indochina Productions, is a seasoned producer on high-profile international projects in the region.
TSixtySix will function as Indochina’s local-language production arm, continuing its support for international shoots across Southeast Asia. As Satrusayang puts it, “TSixtySix shows our commitment to originating homegrown stories from within the region.
