Starting from tomorrow, Capcom is taking action against excessive cheating in Monster Hunter Wilds. This means they’ll be temporarily banning players and rescinding rewards for those found abusing the game mechanics, employing external software, or breaching the Terms of Service agreement (User License Agreement).
Capcom is also taking action against players who unintentionally gain advantages from these glitches. As stated in the announcement: “‘If any member of a multiplayer party engages in prohibited actions, the completion times for all party members will be declared invalid. This means that their times will be cleared and they will lose their right to claim rewards.’
As a gamer, I’ve learned that consistently teaming up with someone who cheats could potentially lead to a suspension from the game. However, if I ever find myself unfairly labeled as an exploiter, Capcom has been transparent in stating that they won’t offer any form of compensation for lost rewards.
As a seasoned gamer myself, I strongly advise fellow players to exercise caution when joining forces with others, steering clear of those involved in activities that breach the game’s rules. With the game being a month old now, veterans like me can easily spot cheaters—particularly those reaping benefits from boosted quest rewards or exaggerated item drops, such as Jewel farming cheats.
Inexperienced gamers might unwittingly stumble into such a predicament, potentially causing their profiles to be marked as suspicious. To avoid this, Capcom advises all players to bring any questionable behavior to their attention.

This tightening of rules is intended to stop gamers from gaining an unfair advantage on the leaderboard before Title Update 1’s Arena Quests, a mode that ranks players based on hunt completion times. Any player found cheating in Arena Quests will have their scores declared void and erased from the leaderboards.
Title Update 1 arrives on April 4th, and it’s free for all Monster Hunter Riders! This update brings back a beloved monster, Mizutsune, along with a High-Rank version of Zoh Shia, our Low-Rank final boss. Moreover, a new social hub, the “Grand Hub,” will offer a special place for hunters to mingle, chat, and strategize for their upcoming quests.
