As a dedicated skate culture enthusiast and long-time fan of both Vans and Carpet Company, I can’t help but be utterly thrilled about their recent collaboration. The fusion of these two iconic brands represents an exciting blend of East Coast grit and West Coast style that resonates deeply with my own experiences in the skate community.
As a big fan of both Carpet Company and Vans, I’m thrilled to share that these two iconic brands have joined forces for an exciting collaboration! Based in Baltimore, Carpet Company has teamed up with the Californian skate brand for their very first partnership. The result? A cross-coastal, multigenerational collection that beautifully encapsulates modern skate culture.

The pairing of these two designers blends their values into three unique sneaker designs: two revamped Skate Half Cabs and one reinvented Skate Cab 4. Each of the trio sports a covering of “dragon leather,” a term used by Carpet Company for faux croc skin, which is then placed over premium leather as a tribute to Steve Caballero’s dragon emblem. The Skate Half Cab comes in violet/marshmallow and black/marshmallow colorways, while the Skate Cab 4 appears exclusively in black with an emphasis on its dragon-scale design. A witty “Carpet Company sucks” message is etched into the foxing in Arabic script.
Examine the sneakers, featuring a Caballero emblem, displayed in the gallery up there. The ensemble consists of two T-shirts and a set of socks that match.
Although the carpet pairs are no longer available on Carpet Company’s website, you can still purchase them at Carpet Company’s special event taking place at the following location. Keep in mind that these items will also be released in some retail stores soon.
