Casio’s Latest EDIFICE Timepiece Pays Homage to TOM's KP47 Starlet

As a seasoned gamer and automobile enthusiast with a soft spot for Japanese culture and technology, I can’t help but be utterly captivated by this latest collaboration between Casio and TOM’s Racing Team. The EDIFICE EFS-S641TMS is more than just a timepiece; it’s a testament to the rich history of Japanese motorsports and an ode to the iconic KP47 Starlet – a race car that dominated the tracks in the ’70s with its record-breaking victories.

A new model has joined Casio’s EDIFICE collection, inspired by the TOM’s KP47 Starlet – a legendary racecar from the Japanese racing team known for its numerous victory records in the 1970s.

The original color schemes of white, red, and green are reflected in the honeycomb-patterned dial, with a purplish-textured surface representing the Starlet’s front grille and 3K-R engine. The designs on the inner dials take cues from Igeta wheels, while the strap’s shorter end showcases textures reminiscent of KP47’s B-pillar.

I’ve had the pleasure of using a remarkable reference device in my underwater explorations. Its sturdy build and robust dimensions of 50mm x 44.5mm x 13.3mm have proven to be perfect for my adventurous lifestyle. The fact that it runs on reliable solar power is an added bonus, ensuring I’m never left stranded without a charge in the middle of the ocean. Furthermore, its sporty construction can withstand impressive depths of up to 10 ATM underwater, making it an indispensable companion for my diving expeditions.

The anniversary edition of the EFS-S641TMS by TOM’S, which is now 50 years old, can be purchased for $300 USD on Casio’s website.
