As a die-hard movie buff with a penchant for unconventional tales, I am absolutely thrilled by the star-studded cast of “The Wolf and The Lamb.” The genre blend of folk horror and thriller, set against the backdrop of the 1870s western expansion, promises an intriguing narrative.
Actress Cassandra Scerbo, known for Truth or Dare, along with Adrianne Palicki from John Wick, Q’orianka Kilcher of Hostile, and Angus Macfadyen, famed for Braveheart, have joined the cast of Michael Schilf’s directorial project titled The Wolf and the Lamb. This is a chilling blend of folk horror and thriller genres.
As a fan, I’m excitedly sharing that I’ve found myself immersed in a gripping tale set against the backdrop of the 1870s western expansion, specifically Montana. In this story, I embody the role of a mourning school teacher on a desperate quest to find my long-lost son, portrayed by the talented Jaydon Clark from The Rookie. My son is the most recent child to vanish in a close-knit mining community. However, when he reappears, it’s not the boy I knew – he’s transformed into something far from human.
Scerbo gained recognition for her roles as Nova Clark in the Sharknado film series, and for appearing on Grand Hotel and Guerrila TV shows. Additionally, Palicki is well-known for her appearances on ABC’s Marvel drama Agents of SHIELD and Seth MacFarlane’s Fox dramedy The Orville, having previously starred in Friday Night Lights.
At age 14, Kilcher gained her major debut when she acted as Pocahontas alongside Colin Farrell and Christian Bale in Terrence Malick’s film, “The New World.” She also made an appearance on TNT’s series, “The Alienist,” portraying Mary Palmer. Madfadyen is known for her role as Robert the Bruce in Mel Gibson’s Academy Award-winning movie, “Braveheart.
The main actors in this production are Eric Nelsen, Sammi Rotibi, James Landry Hebert, Zach McGowan, Elias Kacavas, and Clint Howard. Additionally, the cast is completed by Kevin Keppy, Mike Manning, Rob Nagle, Hanna Balicki, and William Rothlein.
The short film “The Wolf And The Lamb” is created by the team at Lunar Door, comprising Chase Kuker, Jordan Kuker, Miah Smith, as well as Nicholas Clark and Jordan Wagner. James Macmillan and Scerbo from One Of One, together with Ve Neill (from “Beetlejuice”) and Manning will serve as executive producers for the project.
In the post-production phase of the film, Winter State Entertainment will play a key role. Kilcher, on the other hand, is represented by Buchwald and Strand Entertainment, while Scerbo is under The Park Agency and Strong Management. Palicki has Paradigm and Anonymous Content as her talent agents, and Macfadyen is managed by Kramer Management.
