Just when I thought the hustle and bustle of Beirut was back to normal after the long-awaited peace between Israeli and Hezbollah forces, the grand opening of the Metropolis Cinema in Mar Mikhael got delayed yet again. But finally, this weekend, I’m eagerly looking forward to checking out this new cultural hub – a place that offers two indoor cinemas, an outdoor cinema, and a cozy café where film buffs like me can rub shoulders with artists and industry professionals.
