The Ceramic Brussels fair is set to return! From January 23rd to the 26th, 2025, the Tour & Taxis exhibition center in Brussels will play host to the second installment of this unique event, exclusively focusing on ceramics. A total of sixty-five galleries hailing from fifteen different countries will come together, displaying the work of more than 200 artists who will demonstrate the evolution of this art form, spanning from traditional techniques to modern interpretations. The upcoming edition promises a 20% increase in new participants compared to last year, ensuring a wider array of exhibits, such as group displays and twenty solo shows for visitors to enjoy.
2021’s highlights encompass a special emphasis on Norway’s dynamic ceramic community, which is the fair’s inaugural country-specific concentration. Five leading Norwegian art galleries will take part, bolstered by discussions and forums under the banner of “Norwegian Day.” In an individual spotlight, Elizabeth Jaeger, our 2025 Guest of Honor, will showcase a solo exhibition delving into her unique artistic expression. Concurrently, the enlarged modern ceramics segment connects past and present, offering pieces by 20th-century masters such as Pablo Picasso and Pol Chambost alongside contemporary artists.
The fair encompasses more than just European artistic talent; it also features galleries from North America, Asia, and beyond, contributing a global viewpoint. Notable galleries like Almine Rech and Hostler Burrows are showcasing vibrant group exhibitions. Ceramic Brussels 2025 aims to expand the conversation surrounding ceramics while highlighting its rich diversity and tenacity.
