Once again, it’s that season: The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has unveiled the initial schedule for next February’s New York Fashion Week, showcasing over 54 runway shows and designer events for the Fall/Winter 2025 collection.
The fashion event taking place from Thursday, February 6 to Tuesday, February 11 will feature various brands gracing the stage in New York City once more. Some of these include 5000, Anna Sui, Campillo, Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, Coach, Colleen Allen, Collina Strada, Diotima, Eckhaus Latta, Elena Velez, Kallmeyer, Khaite, Lafayette 148, LaQuan Smith, Luar, Michael Kors, Monse, Prabal Gurung, Sandy Liang, Sergio Hudson, Simkhai, Todd Snyder, Tory Burch, TWP, Ulla Johnson, and Zankov.
On February 6 in the afternoon, Brandon Maxwell will kick off the week’s events, while Thom Browne will close the week with his evening runway show on February 11. Notably, Christopher John Rogers, Altuzarra, Calvin Klein Collection by Veronic Leoni, Fforme, Lapointe, Norma Kamali, and Theory are all scheduled to appear in the calendar this season after taking a break in one or more of the past seasons.
Here are some new faces joining us: Alexis Bittar, Gabe Gordon, Yamil Arbaje and LEBLANCSTUDIOS under Angelo Beato’s direction, as well as Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen. On the other hand, Bode is set to unveil its 2025 BODE REC collection through a livestream at the GQ Bowl – an exclusive red-carpet event happening simultaneously with Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.
Some well-known fashion brands are missing from the schedule. These include Proenza Schouler, Helmut Lang, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Jason Wu, Wiederhoeft, and Willy Chavarria. Notably, Chavarria will be showcasing his Fall/Winter 2025 collection during Paris Fashion Week Men’s this month instead.
New York Fashion Week offers designers and labels a prime platform to express their narrative and showcase their creations in ways that resonate with their audiences and business objectives. The forthcoming season highlights trends prevalent within the industry: balancing tradition and creativity. As Joseph Maglieri, Director of Fashion Week Initiatives at CFDA, stated, it underscores the value of brand independence and endurance, emphasizing the importance of staying true to their present identity in order to map out a vision for their future.
