As a long-time fan of Cher, I can hardly contain my excitement over the upcoming release of her highly anticipated memoir! For decades, Cher has captivated us with her unique voice, iconic fashion sense, and unapologetic personality. Now, she’s finally going to share her life story in intimate detail.
Cher‘s highly anticipated memoir is finally getting a release date and cover reveal.
As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! Dey Street Books, a part of the William Morrow Group under HarperCollins Publishers, recently made an announcement. They’ll be releasing the first installment of a gripping two-part memoir this fall. Can’t wait to dive into the next level of storytelling!
Cher: The Memoir, Part One, will be published on Nov. 19.
“For over 70 years, Cher has fiercely pursued living life on her own terms. In her two-part memoir, she candidly shares her personal journey. With her signature wit and honesty, Cher: My Life in Words reveals how this resilient diamond rose from humble beginnings and uncertain confidence to become a groundbreaking icon, leaving an indelible mark on popular culture for over 50 years.”
The forthcoming memoir will recount the singer’s life story from her childhood through meeting and wedding Sonny Bono. It will delve into the intricate and famous-making yet ultimately divisive relationship between them.
Cher: The Memoir, Part Two will follow in 2025.
Cher also took to Instagram to reveal the cover.
The memoir, which Cher announced she was writing back in 2017, has generated much excitement. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year, Cher shared that the project was nearing completion. “We’re almost done,” she said, adding, “HarperCollins keeps asking me, ‘Cher, how long are you going to work on this?’ It’s a challenge, but we’re very close.”
At Dey Street Books, the global rights for a book were acquired by Alan Nevins of Renaissance Literary & Talent. The publication process is being overseen by Carrie Thornton, who serves as Vice President and Publisher. This title will be released by HarperNonFiction in the UK, and by HarperCollins in Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, France, and Brazil.
