Cheryl Cole Speaks Out on Liam Payne’s Death, Says Their Son Has to “Face Reality of Never Seeing His Father Again”

As a long-time fan who has witnessed the meteoric rise and fall of many stars, I find myself deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Liam Payne. His talent was undeniable and his charm was irresistible, but it is his humanity that truly touched us all. Cheryl Cole‘s heartfelt message serves as a poignant reminder that behind the glitz and glamour, he was a son, a brother, a friend, and a loving father to little Bear.

Cheryl Cole, mother to a 7-year-old son with ex-One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, has made public comments regarding his passing.

On Instagram, Cole uploaded a photo of Payne with their child Bear, captioning it: “As I struggle to find my way amidst this devastating turn of events and grapple with my own heartache during this excruciatingly hard time, I’d like to gently ask that everyone remember we have lost a person. Liam wasn’t just a famous pop star and celebrity; he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a cherished friend, and a father to our 7-year-old boy. A son who now must confront the harsh truth of never seeing his father again.

In her statement, Cole expressed concern about the disturbing media portrayal and comments surrounding Payne’s death: “What saddens me deeply is the thought that one day Bear may encounter the repugnant articles and sensationalized reporting we’ve witnessed over the past two days. It pains me even more to think I won’t be able to shield him from such content in his future.

She implored, “Reflect on whether these reports are truly beneficial or just adding more pain for those who are left to clean up the mess. Before you post comments or create videos, ponder if it’s something you’d want your own child or family to read. In memory of Liam, let him find some tranquility in his final moments.

Back in 2017, I became a dad to little Bear. Before that, Cole and I were an item since 2016. We called it quits, though, back in July 2018.

Payne died in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday after falling from the Casa Sur Hotel balcony. The officials say Payne’s fall resulted in “extremely serious injuries,” and medics confirmed his death on the spot. The Buenos Aires Security Ministry later told The Associated Press that police responded to an emergency call warning of an “aggressive man who could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”

Last Thursday, it emerged that an autopsy carried out in Argentina determined that Payne had passed away due to severe injuries and both internal and external bleeding.

After Payne’s passing, numerous individuals expressed their tributes on social media, among them were Payne’s ex-bandmates from One Direction – Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. In his post, Tomlinson shared that he would be there for Bear should he ever need him, promising to share stories of what a fantastic father Payne was. He regretted not having the opportunity to bid farewell and express one more time how much he admired him.

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to rephrase that sentiment in my own words:
