As a gamer with an extensive background in pop culture trivia, I can’t help but be captivated by the unique blend of Hollywood and politics that Cheryl Hines seems to effortlessly navigate. Her approach to promoting her eco-friendly beauty line, Hines + Young, on Black Friday was both relatable and entertaining, especially with her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., making a cameo in the shower.
On Black Friday, Cheryl Hines opted for an unusual strategy when advertising her beauty items, choosing not to follow the conventional path.
On a Friday, Hines + Young’s Beauty Line shared a video on their Instagram Story, featuring Hines in her bathroom using two of her beauty products, while her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was seen taking a shower in the background. Later, Hines re-shared this video on her own account.
She explained, “Sorry, but you can’t take a shower right now. I’m working on a video.” Or more casually, “I’m afraid I can’t let you shower at the moment. I’m busy filming a video.
In 2023, Hines teamed up with her daughter to establish a beauty company. The inspiration behind their product line stemmed from the star of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” wanting to create an eco-friendly brand, as the beauty industry is one of the leading contributors to global plastic waste, as stated on the company’s website.
In light of this thought, my child, Cat and I, initiated Hines+Young as a venture to discover innovative methods for promoting well-being, all while avoiding the issue of plastic pollution,” reads the “About Us” section on the website, according to Hines’ statement.
Two months ago, news broke about my personal connection with Kennedy, having dated him during his independent presidential campaign coverage for New York Magazine. Our romance supposedly started post the publication of a profile I wrote on him in November 2023. In September of this year, I was temporarily suspended from the magazine, and by October, we decided to go our separate ways.
Since 2014, Hines and Kennedy have been wed. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter for their January cover story, Hines reminisced about the beginning of her union with her second spouse.
She mentioned that she enjoyed the fact that they came from distinct backgrounds when they were together. She appreciated him not being involved in entertainment, instead working in environmental law. To her, the Kennedy connection wasn’t a significant factor because he wasn’t politically active, and his family was quite friendly and accepting.
Afterward, the attorney embarked on a presidential campaign which he later discontinued in August, ultimately endorsing Donald Trump during his third attempt to become commander-in-chief. In return for Kennedy’s endorsement, Trump selected him as his nominee for the role of Secretary of Health and Human Services upon his victory in the election.
