As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for cinema and history, I eagerly anticipate the release of Chhaava. The period drama, starring the talented Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, promises to be an enthralling journey into the past. Having witnessed Vicky’s transformative roles in films like Uri: The Surgical Strike and Raazi, I am intrigued by his portrayal of this iconic historical figure.
2024’s anticipated period drama, Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, has been creating quite a buzz. The initial teaser sparked curiosity and anticipation among viewers. As the release date approaches in less than a month, speculation is rife that the full-length trailer will be unveiled soon. Reports suggest that the CBFC has already approved a 3-minute, 10-second theatrical trailer for this highly anticipated film.
As per the Central Board of Film Certification’s (CBFC) website, the movie trailer for Chhaava was given a U/A 13+ rating on October 28, 2024. The duration certified is 3 minutes and 10 seconds.
Vicky Kaushal takes on the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the child of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, in an upcoming film. The trailer, debuted in August, showcased a unique depiction of the actor. This movie signifies his initial partnership with actress Rashmika Mandanna, who portrays Yesubai. Akshaye Khanna will make an appearance as Aurangzeb.
Previously, Vicky Kaushal shared a touching message on his Instagram Stories following the completion of the movie shoot. He stated, “The intense and emotional filming of Chhaava wouldn’t have concluded without some additional emotions. Today, the rain gods truly outdid themselves, providing a spectacular performance right after we filmed our final shot.
He added, “There’s so much I wish to to say, there’s so little I’m able to convey about this journey right now… may be in a few days when it all sinks in. All I can say now with a heart full of gratitude, love and contentment is that… IT’S A WRAP!!!”
Under the pen of Rishi Virmani and the vision of Laxman Utekar, a historical tale is being brought to life by Dinesh Vijan’s production company, Maddock Films. The music for this epic is crafted by AR Rahman. “Chhaava” is set to hit the big screen on December 6, 2024.
Prior to Chhaava hitting the screens, Vicky Kaushal will commence work on another major production titled Love & War. In this upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, he’ll be joined by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Love & War is set for a theatrical release on March 20, 2026.
