Notice Ed Sheeran enthusiasts: Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently made an appearance at one of your favorite singer’s concert. Over the weekend in Romania, he joined Ed Sheeran on stage to play the drums during a performance as part of filming his show, “Limitless with Chris Hemsworth”. To the joy of the 70,000 fans present, Hemsworth drummed alongside Sheeran while he sang “Thinking Out Loud” at The National Arena in Bucharest, according to a report by Deadline.

The upcoming second season of Limitless will be advertised using a video recording of its performance, airing on Disney+ in 2025. This promotional clip has been shared across the Instagram accounts of both Ed Sheeran and Chris Hemsworth, along with National Geographic TV as well.

Ed Sheeran is currently performing in Europe during the European phase of his “Mathematics Tour,” and in the video, Sheeran mentions that Hemsworth reached out to join him on stage, inspired by studies about the mental health advantages of mastering musical instruments. Hemsworth picked up the drums for the first time on stage with Sheeran, and afterward, Sheeran presented Hemsworth with a trophy as a keepsake, symbolizing his new role as a drummer.

Created alongside Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Darren Aronofsky, Limitless is a documentary series that delves into the possibilities of human existence. Throughout its initial six episodes, Hemsworth embarked on global journeys to discover new paths for well-being and tested his own mental and physical boundaries during this adventure.

Apart from being a globally recognized musician, Sheeran has occasionally dabbled in acting. In various movies, he portrayed himself, and in 2013, he made an unacknowledged appearance as The Balladeer in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. He showcased his acting skills in a 2017 episode of Game of Thrones as a soldier, and his other roles include Peter Rabbit, Home and Away, The Bastard Executioner, The Simpsons, and even an unrecognized Stormtrooper in the Star Wars films The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker.

After the debut of Avengers: Endgame in 2019, Chris Hemsworth has been quite busy with his work, including the Limitless series. Immediately following that, he moved onto another film franchise for Men in Black: International, which was released the same year. Unfortunately, this movie didn’t do well, ruling out any potential sequels. However, Hemsworth quickly shifted gears and went on to other projects. He starred in two Extraction films on Netflix and reentered the MCU for Thor: Love and Thunder in 2022.

This year saw him star in “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” a movie that didn’t fare well at the box office, despite good critic reviews. He will lend his voice to “Transformers One,” an animated prequel set to hit cinemas in September. Unfortunately, a biopic about Hulk Hogan’s life, in which he was cast as the wrestler, has encountered a significant hurdle with the departure of director Todd Phillips. However, there are rumors that Hemsworth may be joining another big franchise, having allegedly agreed to take on the lead role in Paramount’s “Transformers/G.I. Joe” crossover film.
