Chris Pratt Took The Entire Month Of December Off From Working Out And Gained ‘Fluff,’ But The Fan Comments (And Gwyneth Paltrow) Are So Supportive

As we’ve all returned from our holiday break, I find myself, like many others, re-embracing my regular exercise and wellness regimen after enjoying the relaxation and delicious food that the holidays bring. (I certainly indulged in my fair share of goodies.) Interestingly enough, even Chris Pratt, a well-known figure, took December off and has recently shared about adding some “fluff” due to his downtime. Now, he’s back at the gym and, as he gears up for work again, Gwyneth Paltrow and numerous fans are extending him encouragement.

45-year-old father of four, who happens to be part of the “Electric State” cast, shared an Instagram video recently. In this video, he spoke words of motivation for those battling the aftermath of holiday weight gain, often referred to as “December fats.” He confessed that he too had added some extra padding due to a well-deserved break and humorously mentioned his “love handles” were “stocked up.” Despite this, he enthusiastically welcomed the start of day one on his new fitness regimen for the year. Take a look at his post where he also shares his personal objectives for this journey.

It’s not always a breeze for individuals to acknowledge that they’re not in their desired physical form. Moreover, re-entering the gym or even stepping foot there for the first time can be quite challenging. Thus, hats off to Chris Pratt for his openness regarding his recent body transformation. His honesty seems to resonate with others, including lifestyle expert and fellow actor Gwyneth Paltrow. The founder of Goop expressed her appreciation for Pratt’s post by commenting:

We❤️you anyway you come.

As someone who has struggled with body image issues for a large portion of my life, I wholeheartedly believe that body positivity is one topic where we as a society should find common ground. It’s truly heartening to witness the outpouring of support from fans following the comments made by the star of Country Strong. Here are some examples of their encouraging words:

2. “Don’t let anyone bring you down or make you feel less than amazing. You rock!”
3. “Keep shining, because you are a beacon of light in this world.”
4. “Your inner beauty radiates outward, and you inspire me every day.”
5. “Remember that your worth is not determined by what others think or say about your appearance.”
6. “You’re an amazing person with an incredible talent – don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”
7. “Your strength and resilience are an inspiration to us all, keep being you!”

Jim O’Heir, star of Parks and Recreation, reminisces about the instance when Chris Pratt reached out to him concerning a particularly challenging joke for Jerry.

In Parks and Recreation, actor Jim O’Heir shares a memory of Chris Pratt discussing a tricky Jerry gag with him.

On Parks and Recreation, Jim O’Heir talks about the time Chris Pratt contacted him over a difficult joke for character Jerry.

It might be surprising to consider a moment when Chris Pratt wasn’t a muscular movie star, but this transformation didn’t occur until after he landed the role of Peter Quill/Star-Lord in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Prior to that, he was recognized for his part as Andy Dwyer on the Parks and Recreation TV show. Interestingly enough, Pratt bulked up so much for his superhero character that he could no longer shoot shirtless scenes for the popular NBC sitcom during that period.

It’s not surprising that the former star of Jurassic World is committed to fitness, given his reputation for being one of the most dedicated professionals in Hollywood. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated a high level of discipline and professionalism on set, which might be why he dislikes it when some actors have negative attitudes while filming.

This year holds much excitement for me, with my upcoming films like “The Electric State” scheduled for release and “Mercy” hitting theaters in August. I’ve also wrapped up filming for “Way of the Warrior Kid,” an upcoming drama movie. After such a busy schedule, it was well-deserved to take a break, but I’m thrilled to be back at the gym now, eager to regain my shape for future projects, with Gwyneth Paltrow and others cheering me on!
