The fashion choices made by Hollywood celebrities at annual red carpets, premieres, and various events have consistently raised the bar. Some stars even match or surpass the impeccable style displayed by iconic movie characters, such as Christina Ricci. Her 2011 Met Gala dress, which was tightly cinched, made a strong impression, but hearing Ricci describe her Zac Posen corseted gown can leave people speechless.
As a follower, I found myself juggling several projects in 2025, including my TV schedule and a thrilling series on Paramount+ with Melanie Lynsky. Together, we appeared on the viral YouTube series, Hot Ones Versus. That evening was a blend of high fashion, high adrenaline, and hot wings!
As reported by People, the tight corset I wore for the event required some special attention. I needed medication to manage the discomfort, and a change was necessary mid-event to ensure comfort. Quite an adventure, indeed!
At the Met Gala, I ended up wearing a particularly extravagant corset which became so uncomfortable that I required painkillers. In the midst of the event, due to discomfort escalating to the point where I was on the verge of fainting, I had an urgent wardrobe change carried out in a janitor’s closet as a makeshift solution.
The realm of fashion is both unpredictable and captivating. Ricci’s dress is breathtaking yet appears to be a potential health risk, requiring painkillers or even emergency changes. Although I’m aware that numerous celebrities often wear intricate and uncomfortable outfits, it’s simply astonishing that such standards could push performers towards attire needing this much attention. Frankly, I couldn’t handle it myself, but I do admire a striking ensemble, as long as it doesn’t endanger the individual wearing it.
Below you can find the 2011 look of the Zac Posen corseted get up:
It’s evident that she was effortlessly elegant in that Posen gown, and it’s reassuring to learn she wasn’t having difficulty breathing throughout the evening. The style of the dress aligns perfectly with some of her most memorable characters, such as Wednesday Addams and her dual roles in Casper and Sleepy Hollow. Just gazing at it makes me catch my breath, imagining the tightness around her waist.
The actress from the Addams Family series expressed her disappointment at no longer being able to fit into such an enchanting gown following childbirth.
It makes me sad ‘cause now that I’ve had two children, that waist does not exist anymore.
Despite the transformation in the mother of two’s physical appearance, I am confident that she could pull off something as stunning as her 2011 Met Gala look, even if it’s not the identical dress. If her future is as captivating as the upcoming series like Batman: Caped Crusader, Wednesday (streaming on Netflix), or the entire season of Yellowjackets, she’ll continue to shine brilliantly.
Although it remains uncertain if she’ll pop up at all in Wednesday Season 2, the third installment of the grisly soccer series is gathering momentum. Despite the bitter farewell we had with Juliette Lewis in Yellowjackets, we’re eager to discover what unfolds for the remaining cast members during this season. Here’s hoping it won’t be as distressing as that tightly fitted Ricci dress.
