Christopher Ward Reimagines the Classic Fied Watch in New C65 Dune Aeolian Collection

The British timepiece maker, Christopher Ward, recently introduced the C65 Dune Aeolian Collection, their debut release for the year, which blends contemporary elements with the traditional design of a field watch.

Drawing inspiration from the wind-sculpted sand formations at Dune du Pilat in France, these timepieces boast textured dials in a vibrant palette and various case materials. The C65 Dune Aeolian Collection, replacing the previously discontinued Dune models from Christopher Ward’s inaugural series, comprises three unique models: the C65 Dune Aeolian Automatic, Dune Aeolian Bronze Chronometer, and Dune Aeolian GMT.

The C65 Dune Aeolian Automatic watch is offered in colors such as Silica grey, Eve blue, Marram green, and White Sand. It features a 38mm stainless steel casing and has a price range of $895 to $1,096 USD. The bronze alloy encased C65 Dune Aeolian Bronze COSC is available in Dusk brown and Marram green. This model is designed to develop a patina over time, making each one distinct to its owner. The bronze version can be purchased for $1,165 USD with the Vintage Oak Leather strap or $1,550 USD on the Bronze Bader bracelet.

To wrap it up, the C65 Dune Aeolian GMT I’m eyeing boasts dual-time functionality and a striking raised outer ring design. It comes in two colors: White Sand and Eve blue. The base price for this beauty is $1,165 USD on a canvas strap. But if you fancy the Bader bracelet, be prepared to spend up to $1,365 USD.

Every watch from the C65 Dune Aeolian Series is driven by Sellita movements, which can be seen through transparent casebacks. These timepieces also provide water resistance up to 150 meters. At present, all these models can be purchased from Christopher Ward’s online store or authorized dealers.
