Chunky Panday reveals he met with a terrible accident on-set after trying to perform stunt like Amitabh Bachchan in Satte Pe Satta, ‘I got 32 stitches…’

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for Hollywood-style drama and a soft spot for Bollywood legends, I must say that Chunky Panday’s life story is as captivating as any blockbuster movie. His journey from a newcomer eager to emulate Amitabh Bachchan to becoming one of the industry’s most beloved stars is nothing short of inspiring.

Chunky Panday is known for being lively and truthful within the acting industry. He started his career back in 1987, but during those early years, there was a severe accident on set that left its mark. More recently, the actor shared memories of this incident, explaining that he attempted to carry out a stunt involving a horse for the movie Na-Insaafi, following in Amitabh Bachchan’s footsteps from Satte Pe Satta. Unfortunately, this led to a head injury requiring 32 stitches.

In the late 1980s and 1990s, Panday became a highly esteemed actor, appearing in numerous films annually. Fresh from his acting debut, he showed an infectious eagerness for his craft. Swiftly channeling this excitement, he diligently worked to perfect each scene.

In a chat with Showsha, he reminisced about an event from Na-Insaafi where he was asked to perform a daredevil act involving holding a horse’s leg. At first, he felt apprehensive, but the team encouraged him by citing Amitabh Bachchan’s performance of a similar stunt in the 1982 film Satte Pe Satta. Inspired by Big B, he decided to go ahead with it, ultimately leading to an unfortunate accident.

He stated, “Just like a newcomer aspiring to be Amitabh Bachchan, so did I assist in handling a horse. However, during the process, the horse became agitated and managed to shake off one of its legs, which unfortunately struck me on my forehead. In response, I grabbed my forehead, approached the cameraman, and asked, ‘Sir, am I alright?’ Unfortunately, the shock was too much for the cameraman as my forehead wound seemed severe.

After the accident, Chunky Panday was promptly taken to the hospital for immediate care. In the course of his treatment, the actor received 32 stitches and needed a bit of time to heal up.

Nevertheless, friends accompanying the actor during filming found the incident amusing. The Housefull actor later narrated their response, stating, “They inquired from everyone about Chunky Panday and the wound on his head. They joked, ‘Perhaps they should sew up his mouth instead of his head because he chats excessively.

In his professional life, Chunky will make an appearance in the forthcoming movie titled Vijay 69, sharing the screen with Anupam Kher. Notably, a trailer for the film has been released by the producers recently. Additionally, he is currently engaged in filming Housefull 5.
