As a gamer with a deep appreciation for music and a soft spot for nostalgia, I must admit that Clairo‘s latest offering, “Juna,” has truly captured my heart. The ’70s vibe, the boxing ring setting, and the raw emotion in her voice all resonate with me like an old vinyl record played on a vintage turntable.
Clairo is still actively promoting her latest third album, titled “Charm.” She’s just released an official music video for the heartfelt song “Juna” which showcases her soulful style.
The visual setting echoes the ’70s-style sound of the LP, depicting a scene within an oak-paneled room featuring a boxing ring. Three separate matches unfold, and Clairo stands beside the ring, mournfully singing as she watches the fights taking place around her.
She sings, “When we speak so closely, that’s when I can sense it touching my skin, taking it in, yet most days, I keep a distance from getting overly personal.”
Many fans were taken aback by the sudden appearance of a new music video from Clairo, considering her infrequent release of such visual content. Previously, this artist has expressed a preference for letting listeners create their unique interpretations of her music.
2021 saw Charm attach itself to Clairo’s sophomore album, “Sling”, marking it as her first independently released project.
